Firstly submit your enquiry either by completing the ‘get a quote’ form on the website, send an email to info@mortgage1st.co.uk or call 01246 201712 (option 1) to speak to an adviser. After receiving your initial enquiry your adviser will arrange to have a chat with you to find out what you are wanting to do, whether that be to buy a house, remortgage or review your insurances. They will also establish your circumstances such as if you have a deposit saved along with details of your financial situation. They will be able to answer any initial questions you may have at this stage and provide you will initial advice and guidance.

Receive mortgage quotes, a decision-in-principle then mortgage application submitted.

Once your requirements and circumstances have been established, you adviser will then search the market to find the best mortgage or insurance deals that are most suitable to you. You will be able to review the quotes and options available and your adviser will be able to provide you with a Decision in Principle (this is something you will need if you are wanting to put in an offer on a property as it’s proof that, in principle, you are able to get the mortgage you need to purchase the property). Once you have agreed on the most suitable mortgage product or insurance policy, your adviser will then go through all the relevant paperwork with you over the phone, answering any further questions you may have at this stage before submitting your application to the lender or insurer.

A dedicated Mortgage Processor manages your case through to completion.

Once your application has been submitted to the lender or insurer, you will be allocated a dedicated Mortgage Processor who will work alongside your adviser to process your application through to offer and completion as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Your dedicated team are available throughout the entire process and will deal with everything on your behalf from sending documents to the lender, updating your estate agent and working with the solicitors all whilst ensuring you are fully updated on the progress of your application right through to the completion of your mortgage or the day your insurance policy goes live.
